StoryKidD is a storybook app for children. The app does not collect personal information, has no accounts and no sign-in, and does not access location, contacts, or the camera. It contains no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs of any kind.

The nickname entered at first launch, along with preferences (language, dark mode, reading progress, bookmarks), is stored on the device only, is never transmitted anywhere, and is deleted when the app is uninstalled.

The app lets a child record themselves reading a story and play it back. The microphone is requested only when the record button is tapped. Recordings stay in the app's private storage on the device, are never uploaded, and no speech recognition is performed.

When downloading a story, the app fetches media files from our server. This is a download-only connection; no personal data is sent.

Premium subscriptions are processed entirely by the platform store — Google Play Billing on Android and Apple In-App Purchase on iPhone/iPad. We never see or store payment details.
On Android only: to confirm an active subscription and enforce the per-account device limit, the app sends the Google Play purchase token together with a random app-generated identifier to our server. That identifier is not a system or advertising ID, is not linked to any person, and is regenerated on reinstall. On iPhone and iPad nothing is sent off the device at all — entitlement is handled entirely by Apple.

Because the app collects no personal information and has no user accounts, we hold no data about your child to access or delete. Uninstalling the app removes everything stored on the device. Questions are welcome at the address below.
